Grandma Nellie’s Hub Bub

No Christmas was complete without a cavity inducing tub of Hub Bub.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar

  • 1/2 c. light Karo corn syrup

  • 1c. oleo (margarine)

  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  • Popcorn- 4qts popped

Optional:

  • 1 1/2 c pecans

  • 1/2 c salted nuts

Instructions:

Cook sugar, corn syrup, and oleo in 2qt sauce pan. Bring to boil to 300 degrees.

Remove from heat.

Add vanilla and pour over popcorn. Stir until coated.

Spread on table and let cool. Break apart.

Store in airtight containers.
